Yoga is a way to embody the flow of our elemental body and invigorate our primary connection with nature from within.

In a mandala of five elemental prana vinyasa practices and meditations, we will journey into the cellular experience of our “elemental body” for fertilization of our practice, teaching and life. Awakening the “elemental body” is the principle energetic map in Prana Flow that forms the foundation for our sequencing of movement alchemy, our embodiment of nature, and an integrated flow between our practice and life.

Shiva shares with you her life work to revive the roots and evolution of namaskar as movement meditation to transform routine “sun salutations” into the transformational art of their origins.

Our body is comprised of all the elements which make up life – the food of the earth, the sacred water of our primarily fluid body, the metabolic and electrical fire of our cellular and neural network, the air which is the breath of life that nourishes every cell, and the space which pervades our body. Our focus is on the “art of namaskar” and the power of flow states in movement mediation to heal, balance, and realize our renewable connection to the elements.

We will explore the intersections of elemental teachings within yoga, ayurveda, tantra, and the cross-cultural wisdom from indigenous cultures. We will focus on embodying of elemental wisdom for healing modern disconnection to our true nature.

Live with the power of the elements through Prana Flow sequencing of Elemental Vinyasa.

    Highlights Include:

    > Awakening and Principles of vinyasa as movement meditation as we focus on poetry, rhythm, breath and movement patterns

    > Embody, practice, and learn the Elemental Namaskars: Bhumi (earth) Namaskar, Jala (water) Namaskar, Agni (fire) Namaskar, Hridaya (air) Namaskar, Akash (space) Namaskar that are part of the 40 Namaskar Mandala.

    > Practice and learn the principles of Solar Prāna Flow sequencing within the elements to enliven your teaching and home practice.

    > Learning the principles, patterns, vinyasa krama, and underlying alignment of Five Prana Elemental Wave Sequences to embody the elements and evolve into five peak asanas.
